Among the over 400 films at this year's Newport Beach Film Festival is an Action Sports category with a number of surf movies chronicling the sports past, present and future. Movies such as "BoardRoom," which examines the origins of surfboard manufacturing and "Lost & Found," about the discovery of a box of surfing pictures at a flea market, attempt to preserve surfing's rich history. While "Stacked," which follows Balaram Stack as he competes in the 2011 Quiksilver Pro, and "H2indO," about SUPing, look at surfing's next generation. |
